Attempted to link your news with http://www.ravenphpscripts.com/backend.php and received message: There is a problem with the RSS file URL. I have linked several other news feeds without a problem and wonder whats going on here......

My 7.2 backend.php isn't working either. What did you do to fix yours? Smile

Chmod the file to 664 or 775

You don't change the permissions on backend.php, you change ultramode.txt . I made an assumption that you all knew that. My bad ....

This just helped me clear something up...

Not related to backend.php, but for posting articles I submit or users submit, mainfile.php opens ultramode.txt using fwrite();

Checked error logs and it can't open it in some cases (not all) if ultramode.txt permissions are opened up... so this is yet ANOTHER reason to chmod it.
