I've been reading up on HTTP protocol in a book called Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!, written by Stephen Thomas (cofounder and Chief Technical Officer for TransNexus, a leading provider of Internet e-commerce solutions) and published by Only registered users can see links on this board! Get registered or login!. With chunked transfer encoding, the server is supposed to divide the message body into one or more chunks and then sends these chunks on right after the other, thereby the web client can start receiving and displaying them sooner. I have modifed this site to use this encoding and would like some feedback as to whether or not it seems to be loading faster for you. Thanks!

Home page took 60secs to load on my 49.3Kbs connection but don't have a baseline from "Yesterday" to compare with. It seems faster in the forums going strictly on the feels like factor.

I think Jaded's image 174.61kbs is a little to big most of my pages aren't any bigger then that.

The forums are definitely loading faster for me and it is kind of nice watching the list of grahics files that are loading wizzing past in the status bar of IE.
