With NSN scripts you need to log in as an admin then change the url in the browser to the installer file.

What is the exact error message? Is it file not found or file forbidden?

The installer just executes some SQL commands. You could also run those through the SQL command box in phpMyAdmin.

Check the file permissions on that file and also check the htaccess file.

install.php can be CHMOD to 777 as you'll be removing it once it has done its work.

You are still unable to run the install file after checking the permissions? If so, look for any references to the install file in your .htaccess file. If you find any, rename the .htaccess file and try again. If you do not, the only other alternative is that the host is blocking them and you'll need to check with the host.

It's a hosting issue. Rename your htaccess and use the SQL in your NSN News download to manually "install" the tables using phpMyAdmin SQL function. You might also contact your host to verify that they disallow install scripts.

This is more of a module issue than anything to do with Raven Nuke so I'm moving it to 'NSN Modules'

There isn't anything wrong with NSN News. The problem is that your host isn't allowing you to run the install script. I suggested loading the SQL through phpMyAdmin (it should do the same thing as the install script). Is there a reason why that can't be done?

I don't understand this. It sounds like you don't want any news articles on your index page - only page numbers. NSN News requires changes to the database. If you restore the default News module files, they should work since you haven't run the NSN News install script to alter the database tables. But you won't have the page number function either.

When you try to install, are you running nsnne.php? There isn't an SQL file with the download (we could create one if necessary), but I think you might have trouble if you try to run the install script directly. You should be able to do everything from /phpnuke/nsnne.php

Check the links on the images. You should be able to use both full and relative paths to the images. I'm not aware of any differences in the way NSN News treats images. Just to clarify, which images are not displayed?

NSN News isn't aware of nukeWYSIWYG, but it's easy enough to change. Which version of NSN News are you using?
