Hey, as some of you may know phpbb has reached beta5 stage with their 3.0 version, called Olympus. I have undertand that next release will be RC1 and beta stage is over, and that means it will be supported then.

So, will there be phpbb 3.0 RC1 for bbtonuke or do we have wait for gold release? Also, will there be convertor for bbtonuke 2.0.20/2.0.x to bbtonuke 3.0 (RC1 / Final)?

EDIT: I had to register here again (old name was CoffeeOD), since I didnt receive confimation code for new password, tried couple times over few weeks.

I don't see anyone working on it. I really don't see the need. From RC to finale, there still may be a lot of changes. Keeping up with them would be more work than we have time for Smile
You could ask chatserv, but I have a feeling he'll say the same thing

Not worth the time i think, like evaders said a lot could change from now to the release of the final version and from what i have seen so far v3 drastically changes phpBB's structure on all areas.

Have you trialled the bridge between Nuke and PHPBB3?

It is being used over at Nukescripts.

testy1, I have asked the question to the owner, but not received an answer as of yet. The last I heard, he is having ISP issues which is keeping him off-line... hopefully they will be back.

if want to "embedd phpbb3X to nuke , you have to kill the whole phpBB template system, and even worse... it's security system.
better would be to embed nuke modules to phpbb3... Wink

better spend time on adapt phpbb3 template , basicly you only need to adapt 3 file.
overall_header.html
overall_footer.html
and it's corresponding style.css.
I'v done it aswell.
ofcourse with the phpBB3 bridge @
