For those of you who are upgrading from an earlier version of RavenNuke(tm) OR are considering migrating from a non-RavenNuke(tm) version to RavenNuke(tm), there are very detailed guidelines available within the HowToInstall manual that is a part of the RavenNuke(tm) 2.10.00 download.
The manual is written in XHTML, so simply point your browser to the index.html page and then use the left-hand navigation menu to go to the Upgrading link.
Take note that I bolded certain key words in the first paragraph above. Although these are explained within the HowToInstall manual, I will explain them here as well:
Upgrading - this means that you are going from an earlier RavenNuke(tm) release to the latest version.
Migrating - this means that you are going from a non-RavenNuke(tm) version of PHP-Nuke, whether it is 7.6, lower than 7.6 or higher than 7.6.
Please note that the guidelines in the HowToInstall manual are just that: GUIDELINES. There are so many different combinations of set ups, that it is impossible to write one cookie-cutter approach which will work for all. However, the guidelines in the manual are a collection of almost a year of learnings from supporting the Forums as well as personal upgades and migrations that folks have done. |
