From searching it looks like the problem could be field amount. It was an upgrade from a newer version of phpnuke. Or cookie related.
From posting date, I don't think they were referring to this version of Raven.

If I turn on admin approval, and just activated the new account, But the user name does not show up in the member list.

If its a table issue, you will need to compare their database to what RavenNuke uses in order to find the missing fields. There is an included tool for that

It was too many custom fields. Removed them, and all is good.

This error will be displayed when no user or multiple users with same name and password are found. Not sure how the number of fields would affect this. Unless it is some how screwing up the cod when transferring a user from the temp table to the user table.

Ok. Yes, two did have the same id_user. I noticed that when I was in myphpadmin removing the other fields, and fixed that too.

Wonder which it was.
