Sentinel and Google page rank

I installed sentinel about 3 weeks ago...great project BTW. However, since that time my google page rank has dropped from about 3-4 to 1? Any ideas? These are the only ips blocked according to the sentinel blocked ip section... Any thoughts appreciated Smile

All the googlebots that come to my page seem to be ip: 64.68.82.*

gator your site shows a google PR3 here at either http://www.boozebros.ca/ or http://boozebros.ca/ maybe it was just a hiccup with their system when you checked?

The last 2 of those user agents look like false positives. Try removing custo from the harvestor list that should take care of that one.

On the Agent blockers. Goto Sentinel Configuration and look in hte "Harvester List" for custo and remove it. CUSTO is a harvester but that stinr is also catching Customer as well.

As far as the page rank it should not have any effect on it.

Went and did a little checking, had to reinstall IE, and for my site NukeScripts.net my page rank has increased since I installed Sentinel. I went from a 4 to a 6 but I would guess that it will change from time to time depending on traffic and what not.

The Google dance has been a little wild lately, I have had the same thing happen. I think they are tweaking the rank code a bit.

Maybe my page rank seems to be all over the place...Good to know that it isn't caused by sentinel...nonetheless I think I'm going to convert to GT NextGen
