WelL I would love to not deal with Google or Yahoo. My site is private and I wish to keep it that way. The reason I do not want freemail accounts is because they cannot really be traced. I have never refused anyone from joining I just prefer to know that if they do something stupid I can go to their service provider with a real account. I have 10 hotmail and yahoo account none of them bare any real information about myself. That is the only reason I want to exclude gmail hotmail and yahoo. No offense manunkind but If I pay for my site I have the right to exclude whomever I wish. |

You can probably reduce a lot of spam because 90 % e-mail spam is in English. I īve never received spam e-mails written in French, Dutch, Turkish or Polish. However, if I had a private site I would also exclude accounts from yahoo, gmail etc. but it isnīt easy to handle if you have an international website with members from several countries.
I use exclusively a German freemail account to register thatīs normal. |

@noparara.com
@mespacha.com
@lipster.net
@wisral.com
@zeppele.com |

src21.net - IP 80.93.57.74 - inetnum: 80.93.56.0 - 80.93.59.255- PeterHost.Ru Hosting Provider - and some others are from Russia.
Search for src21.net then you īll find several of his spam subdomains also.

Two words 'spam prevention'.
By blocking free mail accounts they are forced to use their ISP email address which can be more easily traced.
Further more, when you make a complaint of abuse to a free mail provider, they may block the account but the user can very quickly and easily create another free account with the same provider or even a different provider.
If you complain to an ISP that one of their accounts is being used for spam, they take a much harsher which might even result in the user losing his net access.
I you have never been plagued with spam forum posts then I can see why you might be apprehensive.
If people really want to register on your site, then they will use their ISP mail account - unless they have something to hide! |

Yeah, I might ban the rest of them as they attempt the exploit... I might turn my comments back on now.. Or do you think that's a bad idea.. Comments for articles is what I mean.. |

One great reason is to block comment or forum spam. We recently had an incident where someone using 5 different email domains registered 100 users in 2 days - each one posted a comment spam on news stories. By blocking those five domains, we could prevent that, or at least make it more difficult for the user. |
