My prayers are with your dad and you! It is at times like this that we are reminded of our mortality and the need for spirituality!

This is so awsome! Thanks so very much for all these prayers and supportive posts. Just a further update. The initial surgery is now scheduled for 12/31. This is to remove the tumor and the surrounding lymph nodes to see if the cancer is isolated or not. Also, we see a cardiologist tomorrow to determine if his heart is strong enough to withstand the 7 hour surgery. |

To Gaylen's dad, to Gaylen and family, to all people that are suffering.
Holy baby Jesus, the eternal God, in few days You will come again in this world, to re-born on that humble and holy stable of Bethlehem.
I kneel before You and implore You powerful Holy Spirit of life to dissent upon your children in need. Give strength to whom is suffering in body, mind a soul, give them the comfort of healing peace. Nothing is impossible to You oh merciful Holy Spirit, our only Hope is our friend Jesus the Son of God, blessed You are God the charitable and compassionate Father. Amen |

I wish for you that your Father overcomes this burden with little discomfort.
Love well your Father now and feel only positive thoughts for him.
I lost my Father 17 years ago to Lung Cancer, I miss him still.
Lord of Hosts, remember strongly Gaylen's Father today and bring him comfort and health. Ease also the burden his family feel at this time and share your love and healing with them.
Warm thoughts from Australia. |

Raven,
I am so sorry I missed this thread. My heart goes out to your and your family right now.
Heavenly Father, I thank You for fathers. I thank You that You are the ultimate Father to us. I lift up Gaylen's earthly father to you now. I pray for healing in his body. I pray for strength for his family. I ask that Your power be shown in this man's life.
In Jesus' name, Amen. |

I accepted Christ on April 10, 1979. Through all these years I have not been able to speak directly to my Dad about Christ and the simple plan of salvation - until yesterday . He not only allowed me to share Christ, but we shared much more. He didn't accept Christ - yet - but the Holy Spirit is working in his heart. Please keep praying - it is working!! And for the outpouring of prayer and supplication, mortal words are not enough, but Thank You for everything!
Nothing Is Impossible
I read in the Bible the promise of God,
That nothing for Him is too hard;
Impossible things He has promised to do,
If we faithfully trust in His Word.
Chorus
Nothing is impossible when you put your trust in God;
Nothing is impossible when you're trusting in His Word.
Hearken to the voice of God to thee:
'Is there anything to hard for Me?'
Then put your trust in God alone and rest upon His Word;
For ev'rything, O ev'rything,
Yes, ev'rything is possible with God.
The Word of the Lord is an anchor secure
When winds of uncertainty blow;
Tho man in his weakness may falter and fail,
His Word will not fail us we know.
'All things are possible,' this is His Word.
Receive it, 'tis written for you:
Believe in His promises, God cannot fail,
For what He has said, He will do.
Creator of all things, with infinite pow'r.
He spoke! They appeared by His mouth;
Impossible things are not known unto Him,
He made us, He ruleth the earth.

THAT'S GREAT!
It seems to me the people we are closest to are usually the hardest to talk to about Christ.
Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him and he with Me.
| Quote: | | You've help him turn on the light, now keep leading him toward the door! |
Keep sharing !  |

Father,
You are such a good God...all of the time.
We praise You for 80 years of life for this father and for his son, who so obviously loves his daddy!
Now we gently lay him before Your throne and ask You to heal him.
Your Word says that You are the God of all flesh, is there anything too difficult for You?
Absolutely nothing! Not even cancer.
I ask for peace that passes all understanding...let faith and trust in You grow.
Father, we realize that in reality we have an enemy -- that old serpent satan --- who really doesn't care about cancer or finances or family --- he just wants to steal our faith and joy, and hurt Your Great Heart of Love...
So I ask that this situation cause the entire family to draw even closer to You...and if there are members of this family who have not been sealed unto the day of redemption by Your saving Grace, please use this situation to accomplish salvation!
I also ask that faith in You and trust will increase...that regardless of what the doctor's report is, they will believe Your report which says that You love us...unconditionally, completely, and fully! And that all that happens to us is for our good and for Your glory and purposes...(Romans 8:2 ...
Let all who know this father and his situation experience a warmth of Your Presence and the Comfort of the Holy Spirit, and the closeness of Your breath upon their faces as they lift them up to You to wait for Your will to be done...
We praise You and honor Your great Name, Father, for You and King of kings and Lord of lords and are worthy of our adoration and love! |

Father God I lift this brother in Christ and I ask that You Heal this cancer in the Name of Jesus! I pray that You gove this child of Yours a peace that surpasses any understanding! I pray that You remove the cancer cells and that he be restored with a better and healthier body than before the diagnosis!
We may not understand the why's and the uneasiness of receiving this challenging news, but we do know that You are an awesome God and a Powerful healer!
I claim Isiah 26:3-4 for this precious soul...
" You will keep him in perfect peace,
Whose mind is stayed on You,
Because he trusts in You,
Trust in the Lord forever,
For in "Yah", the Lord, is everlasting strength."
I pray that You Father will deliver this man from pain in Jesus Name!
Father I bind the spirit of doubt and depression in the Name of Jesus! I ask Father, God that You instill peace and calmness. I pray that You will embrace this man and his family as they fight the fight of cancer.
In Jesus Name!~Amen~ |

Amen, and again I say, AMEN! Thanks to all and we covet your prayers and thoughts even more. We are continuing to pray for my dad's salvation as well as his healing, if the healing would be God's will. Monday is his chemical stress test and heart echo to see if his heart is strong enough for the surgery. If so, his surgery will be on New Year's Eve day. Please keep my mom in your prayers too as this is taking its toll on her too. |
