Included in v2.0.0

* phpNuke v7.6, patch level 3.1
* NukeSentinel(tm) v2.4.2pl2
* phpbb v2.0.18
* NSN Groups with some fixes
* Enhanced Topics module
* Miscellaneous clean ups where found
* Separated the Install files to have the base install as an unpacked .sql file and then leave the 6 IP2COUNTRY files as gzip files. That way, regardless of the platform you are using you can always get the base nuke install done.

Trying to get into the release ....

* nukeWYSIWYG FSK HTML Editor -> complimnets of KGuske
* Secure Feedback & Recommend Us Modules -> complimnets of VinDsl

I want to wait a little more to see if we can get this editor merged in Smile

That's the final list! Now I will package it up and take it through final Quality Assurance testing with a few testers and make it available as soon as possible.

A special thanks to CodyG, Guardian2003, KGuske, and Montego for their encouragement and time and effort in testing and debugging efforts for this release. And also to all of you who are so gracious in your encouragements and ideas!

Great!

Since i messed up my previous 7.6 distro with to much testing of blocks and modules.

I'm gonna start clean with this one!

Howler if you need testers with nothing to loose Wink

Cheers / B

Is this...
* nukeWYSIWYG FSK HTML Editor

Going to be optional? The WYSIWYG editor is why I never went above 7.6!!!

Yes,

- at least in the current form, includes FCKeditor and the kses HTML filter class. Currently, nukeWYSIWYG is "on" wherever you apply it. The intent for including it in RavenNuke was to apply it in many appropriate places (mostly administrative, but also Submit News, for example). Since we have some time between RavenNuke 76 2.0 and the next release, I'll look at providing a way to turn it off altogether - if that is your preference. I'm also looking at ways to select where to use it by module.

That said, it will not be included in the next release of RavenNuke as we were unable to resolve an issue on the test domain (it seems to work everywhere else).

You're comparing apples and oranges. We release quality, tested products here, seriously Wink. And the products are developed and tested by people who know how to program and how to test. 100% different than what is released by FB.

Stray_Bullet I think I see the context of your question...
Yes the editor that was included by FB in nuke 7.7+ was a wysiwyg editor but it was insecure, badly incorporated, a pile of doodoo and should be avoided like the black death - so yes, you are right to not upgrade for that reason.

However, the editor that is being deployed in RN7.6 (if kguske will forgive my pun) is in a totally different class and as no DB tables are involved will probably be a case of simply either not installing those files or hitting a master 'off' switch if you do not want any wysiwyg editor at all.

Trust me I believe in you guys 100%, thats why I come here & switched to RN7.6! Razz

It would be nice to have a "master switch" like in config.php To turn it off if you do not want it like the $gfx_chk! Very Happy

Just an update Smile - Programming and testing has been completed! I am in the process of redesigning and rewriting the Installation Guide as many more things have been automated and tweaked. And the original text based one sucked, but it did serve the purpose Wink It will be worth the wait.

Just one question. Will there be an upgrade from the original Raven's 7.6 Distro to this, or will we need to do a new install?? Really liked the first one with the occasional update packages.

I can't wait for this... I'm looking forward to it so much... Thought your current release is superb, well documented and easy to install and get up and running. If this one has more and better docs - wow! I can't wait for the new release!

You know you are gonna be asked but, any ideas when it will be released - approximately?

Thanks for all the hard work!

Well, if the holidays hadn't slowed me down ......

Sooner than later Laughing ? I'm looking for the full release to be before the end of the week. I wanted to release the upgrade at the same time but time is just escaping me. We'll see though Wink

Howdy mate!

Appreciate the great efforts on this package and hopefully you'll start digging into removal of those unused pre-installed components and focus on core functionality.

I'm in the process of creating a developers forge for the new communty release of NukeMatch CE in addition to NukeMatch Pro and was wondering if I can get my hands on this.

By the way, talk to Bob lately? Secret project still in progress or you guys holding off on that til...

Sincerely -

Update on v2.0.0.0

I have completely rewritten the installer and the documentation. It is in the final stages of QA testing.

Also, I have upgraded the forums to v2.0.19 Smile

Should be out this next week!

Thanks for the update sir, could you build a lite edition as well since it would do more justice here versus keeping that at NukeMatch otherwise I'll dig into it. Just referring to basic set of componenets like NSN-Nuke.

I thought about bringing that back a few dozen times as I still like it versus original Nuke but, oh well...

Sincerely -

WD-40, I believe, from what I have seen of RN76_200 so far, Raven may be trying to make the add-ons as optional installs. I'll let Raven deny this if that was not his intent as I am assuming from what I have seen just yesterday. It also looks like he is intending on making add-ons uninstallable too!
