I am running phpnuke 7.6.3.1. Site has been up for about 2 months now. Suddenly I am seeing symbols and special characters show up on the site. For instance:

Admin menu block has "" character before each menu link.

Before each copyright symbol on the sit it also appears. "© 2005"

News items with Spanish characters now look like this "¿por qué?" and originally looked like "por que?".

This a database or phpnuke problem? Anyone heard of this before? Suggested fixes?

Thanks

See what character set your server is using. It's probably different from the character set used by default in phpNuke - ISO-8859-1

Doubled checked and both are using the same character set. Doesn't seem to be creating any problems but its annoying. Smile

The strange characters appear when the database is exported via phpmyadmin. Changing the character set options has corrected the problem.

Thank you for confirming that was the problem.
