Hello,

This is my second webpage installing with ravennuke, and I'm a little perplexed by this one.

Went through the installsql.php with no problem or errors. Yet when I go to setup.php and I attempt to complete the form, it keeps telling me
that "All Fields Must Be Filled In!". Now the first and obvious one, is that in fact IT IS completely filled out. I've tried clearing my cache, tried clearing the Db, I even went as far as erasing and re-doing all the files in the webpage directory.

I'm a little stumped. Anybody else had this, or know a way around it to make sure the install gets completed?

Thanks in advance,

Spyrule

nevermind... I figured it out.

Idiot me.. yeah I cleared my cache, and my cookies, forgot to clear my history.

Plus also, when the form is filled out, if you use "previously" typed info, then it
breaks the script.

you MUST type EVERYTHING in manually, do NOT rely on previously typed info.

I also suffered from this problem, cleared everything.

It seems the script really doesn't like history values being used.

I have never experienced this. What browser were you using? What are the steps to replicate this?

TIA

IE myself.

This occurs after all fields are filled in during the package install.

If you hit the back button or even open a new browser window when there are empty fields, the script generates a "All Fields Must Be Filled In!" message when you finally fill them in and submit.

Hope this makes sense and helps.

Trubador, so, let me see if I am getting this right. You get this to error out this way only if you do one of these things:

How are you opening the new browser window? Are you using the shortcut of Ctrl-N by change?

Short cut link in the task bar if I remember correctly. It's been a few weeks since I last installed.

Using the back button definately causes the error though.

btw, I just upgraded to IE 7 and during
a new install of RN76 2.02.02 I encountered
the same issue.

I cleared History, Cookies and Internet Files

Then went back to setup.php, refreshed,
filled in fresh data, and... success

Thank you all... good post

I need to test a new installer (setup.php) before I can release v2.10.01 (fix pack). If anyone can test it ASAP, please email me at raven__AT__ravenphpscripts__DOT__com.

Downloaded RN v2.10.01 this morning and uploaded all files as a clean install.

start
cleared the database from within PHPMYADMIN

browsed to the install SQL page below
Only registered users can see links on this board!
Get registered or login to the forums!

clicked on "Load Core Tables"

right hand box showed the message "Not Loaded"

bottom of page error message returned "MySQL Error # 4 = You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ')' at line 1"

returned to PHPMYADMIN control panel and checked the database, 39 tables had been installed.

had a quick look at the table $prefix.`_cities`tables and found an extra ")" on the following line(last line of the insert instruction block.)

ALTER TABLE $prefix.`_cities` ADD PRIMARY KEY (id));

should be

ALTER TABLE $prefix.`_cities` ADD PRIMARY KEY (id);

clicked on "load core tables" again and every thing went fine no bottom of page error message and right hand box message reported "Loaded 7379 instructions processed in 2.4065s"

Every thing after that small problem installed fine. Checked the daterbase in PHPMYADMIN and 111 tables have been installed.

Browsed to the set up page,

Site Name.....Copyed and pasted the site url from the browser address bar and amended as req.
Site URL......Cppyed and pasted again (just to test)
Site Slogan...Left blank
Administrator Email....Typed in
*GOD* Administrator UserName......Typed in
*GOD* Administrator Password......Typed in
Your Regular Member UserName......Auto filled (only for the purpose of this test, will change later)
Your Regular Member Password......Copy Paste (again only for the purpose of this test, will change later)
Your Regular Member Email.........Auto fill (again only for the purpose of this test, will change later)

Administrator Email.......Auto fill (again only for the purpose of this test, will change later)
*GOD* Administrator NukeSentinel(tm) UserName.....Auto fill (again only for the purpose of this test, will change later)
*GOD* Administrator NukeSentinel(tm) Password.....Copy Paste (again only for the purpose of this test, will change later)

Clicked Update and got the all fields must be filled in, so i filled in the field "site slogan" as i had left it blank and YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooooo worked like a chard and got the Congratulations box. Laughing
