I'm very new to the Nuke world. I really appreciate all the help that Montego and others gave with getting my board up and running. Now, I have a problem that is more of a frustration than anything...

I've noticed that many of the small .gif images that are supposed to be displaying in some of the pages are not. They just show blank boxes, not even the standard red X. I assume the X isn't there because the boxes are so small.

Mostly, this happens within the administration areas. Makes it difficult to add, delete, edit, or whatever when you have to read the link in the bottom of your browser to figure out what a button does. Without the labels, it takes SO much longer to do anything. NukeSentinal won't display flags, KalenderMX won't display color codes for events.

I search the forums here and haven't seen anything similar. I made sure that the images called are on my host. I even d/l'd some to make sure they are in fact .gif files and display locally. They just won't display on the page.

If you would like to take a look... You can access the Event Calender on my website to see what I mean...

Hmm... The color blocks are showing up for you? Interesting... I've tried clearing my cache, history, and all that other stuff. But I'm not seeing the colors for the topics, nor the left and right arrows to go forward or back a month.

Guess I need to check with other users to see if it's just me...

Edit...

Alright, I checked a couple things out. When I cleared my cache and disabled my firewall, I was able to load the Calender pictures. However, the admin side (mainly the NukeSentinel) graphics still did not load.

Now that the calender pictures have loaded into cache, they work with my firewall running again. Not sure if there is that much difference between the gifs of the Calender and the pngs of NukeSentinel.

Like I said, not a huge issue, but it would be nice to have all the little bells and whistles working... Razz

well as for the images not showing with the security it depends on how your settings are and in what way the images are published by the script....
in your admin area where we cant watch right click on images that dont show and copy what it says as for the image address and show here..

I can't even call them from my browser. Looks like the hosting service wont allow them to be sent. It gives a Error 403 when trying to look at the images... I've made sure that all the CHMOD are set to 755. Also, going to the country page, none of the flags are displayed for the countries.

Well, uploading the images again seems to have solved the problem. Thanks, persona_non_grata.

Now the only issues I have are with my reloaded firewall... Mad

As for the free host, it's all I'm willing to invest in a 'community' type board. Maybe if I can convince them to help me offset the costs, I'd gladly switch over to Raven. I'm sure the quicker load times alone would make it worth it.
