I created a new nuke site which I want to overwrite an existing one with. When I trialed this and tried to log into admin it would redirect me to the old sites admin panel. My question is what values do I need to change in the database in config etc. to alter the paths so it all works with the new address?
e.g. redirects to
but i don't want it to
Thanks |

The way nuke defines which site its in is by calling the server and asking it for the info of where its at, makes no sense for it to be relinking you to the old admin.php.
A link to show us may help. |

it could just be your computers cache and cookies. try deleting all of that and then reboot. that could solve your issue. |

You could also check your .htaccess file to see if there are any redirects in there. But the most likely solution is to change your config.php to point to the new database. There are fields for the database name, the database user name, and the password and those have to be pointing to your new database. |

I've changed the values in config.php etc. Sentinal was installed with http auth on so i'm wondering if this could be the cause. Thanks for the replies so far. Unfortunately now i'm having major problems with my hosting company so trying various solutions may now take some time. I'm pretty sure its not to do with cookies or cache though as I tried clearing all that data when I first had the problem.
thanks |

Ok every link points to the old site for some reason. As i said i have changed config.php to reflect the new database name etc yet every module seems to be grabbing data from the old site. I must be missing a simple value somewhere but I can't think where I edited the config table in the mysql database to change the siteurl to the new url as well. |

I found out my problem now my hosts servers a working. I'd set the base url in the header fil and forgot about it s copying the site it thought it should still go to this base url instead. Maybe one day i'll not my changes. |
