Having read all posts on here regarding signatures not coming up , I am a little confused.

Is it a theme problem or is it a RN problem ?

Everything on the site works great, and I mean everything, its just forums signatures do not show up at all.

They are set to allow in all admin configs but there is nothing, no text no [img] code, nothing.

I am using a disipal designed theme, so I would have thought they knew what they were doing.

I am confused now, as to what action to take ?

If anyone could assist me here, I would appreciate it Smile

ps I am using rwsRavenNuke76_v2.02.00_FULL Smile

Are you setting the sigs in the Forums Profile?

If you mean in the configuration in forums admin, ie Allow Signatures and Allow BBcode etc, yes thats all set to on.

And nothing you put in as a sig either in your forum profile OR your Your_Account profile shows up

When the signature is posted, does the url show for the sig and not the sig itself? Have had this problem in the past with Php-Nuke. One of the admins of the site would have to go and copy the url in the users forum profile, delete the old and repaste it, and then it would work ok.

This wasn't only for RavenNuke, but all php-nukes at least for me. The odd thing is sometimes it will work correctly, and other times it will not.

Nothing comes up, no text, no code nothing, it is basically as if it was set to not show signatures, yet in the profiles, the signatures are saved.

Change themes and let us know the results. If your theme changes the forums it could be missing something needed for signatures to show, Ive fixed this on a few themes.

Ive done both

Nothing wants to come up.

Its not that important really, just bizarre why its not working when in previous versions of RN never had the problem.

that is not what I asked you. I asked you to go to the forums profile and paste to use exactly what is listed in the forums signiture field. That is the only way to help you at this point.

I can now check if thats a dead link, if not, I can assume it doesnt like [img] but I am guessing thats a dead URL

also, please use the code tags to post what is in the signiture form of your profile on your site. It doesnt help to see the image. We need to see the whole thing. Using the code tags will do that.

What do you mean code tags ?

[img] URL [/img] is the way I do the signature for a forum.

The method works on this forum but not on mine. Thats why there is a picture up there.

I have allowed HTML and BBCODE, html tags include img so I dunno where the problem is, I think its the phpBB myself, should I try to upgrade it again ?

Jaded is asking that you place your signature between bbcode tags, the [code ] and [/code ] tags to be more accurate.

So you should type

[ code] signature code here with [ img] and[ /img].[ /code]

dont use the spaces, this will help in debugging your problem.

One more thing, you say should I try to upgrade it again? This is new, when did you upgrade, what did you upgrade and where did you get the upgradepackage from?

Right ok I did that

And all I got in return was a grey box around the [img] URL [/img]

Forget the upgrade I did it once before on RN on a previous site with an earlier distro and I got it from phpBB

what i am asking is for you to use the code tags on this board when you reply. do [c ode] then ALL the code exactly as it is in your forums profile signiture box on your site [/co de]

We need to see EXACTLY what is written there not just what you think we are asking.

Thanks

I entered my sig (on your website) in forum/profile checked attach sig and it worked fine. I even used your sig.

Here is yours(copied from your post):
Code:
[img] http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/1231/dreamscapedw8.jpg [/img]

Make it like this:
Code:
[img]http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/1231/dreamscapedw8.jpg[/img]

The problem is you have a space between [img] and

, take out the space and it works fine.

yep. that is what I was going to check. It seemed like there was a space there also but here when you posted it you had no space so it showed. I am glad that this worked out.
