For some weird reason my topics items disappeared. Now when i am creating another NEWS as a Admin through the admin panel the dropdown list where i need to choose with topic this new message I am creating will be part of the list come out blank as you can see on the image below:

Image

The "funny" part is that the topics are there they just don't appear. If i select any of the "blank" options then my NEWS will be published with that selected topic image, so it is working but for some weird reason they don;t show up.

I went to the browser and did a "view source" on the page (image above) and the code where the options names is suppose to be is really blank and only the codes appear as you can see beow:

Code:

<option  value="1"></option>
<option  value="2"></option>
<option  value="3"></option>
<option  value="4"></option>
<option  value="5"></option>
<option  value="6"></option>
<option  value="7"></option>
<option  value="8"></option>
<option  value="9"></option>

As you can see, it is not placing the Topic name in between the <option> and </option> tags. I try looking everywhere and could not find what is causing it. Please any help would really appreciated.
Thanks,

Well usually things don't disappear without some kind of intervention. Wink

Have you upgraded anything, or added any new modules?

Also, I know this sounds crazy, but is this a new theme? Just double-check with one of the other originally provided themes, such as DeepBlue, that the problem still exists.

Nope. It has the same effect on the DeepBlue theme. The only thing i reember changing since this thing was working was:
    quicky reply
fixing the quote=username issue (got code from here)

and that's it.

I don't see anything obvious. Here's the file I am using, and it seems to be working

Replace
modules/News/admin/index.php

I did replace the file with the one you send but the same problem there.
I have created a zip file with my /modules/news directory so you might find something lookin it.

There is something very strange because i just create a new copy of the core phpnuke78 without any path or change and the problem still there. You can try that using my news files above but i think the problem might not be on the news.

Why would a fresh intall also have the same issue? And again all the others dropdown box work normal on the create news module. If i go to languase or categories is OK...only the TOPIC is not showing up on the screen.

I'm curious what topics you have set. What does it show in the Topics in your admin panel?

Look at the picture

Image

Does the size of the icon could b the issue? I wouldn't belieave but i just create one more topic using a samaller image and the option now shows that one i careated but the ones on the image above no.

look at this image:

Image

All the blank space there is for the icons showed above and the "ztest" is the other one i just created usng the small gif.

EDIT: Embarassed Embarassed Embarassed The problem is actually not a problem. when i created the topics i did not added the 'Topics Text' since the images already have their text names, so everything is working but the dropdown menu gets the topic text field to populate its content so that's why it is blank but when you choose one it will work. Sorry everyone. Embarassed Embarassed
