Forum Notification on RN?

Has anyone gotten the Forum Notificiation Mod to work on RN? I'm using the latest version of RN with the default phpBB install that came with it.
Everything is installed correctly. I click in the 'Subscribe to Forum' link and it subscribes me fine, but I'm getting no e-mails when a new topic is posted.
I checked the DB tables, and the data is getting written to the tables. Sad

I'm getting no errors with errors turned on and nothing in the error log either.
I saw someone here was using this and said they had to make a modification to the code to get it to work. I'm wondering what that was.

Ok, well nevermind. It does in fact work with RN.
Apparently the notification does NOT send out emails to you for topics you create. It only sends notifications for topics other people post. Just tested it using another member ID to post.
I'd delete this post, but maybe other people in the future may run into the same thing.

I'm trying to see about adding this mod to a site i work on as well. However when I go to edit the includes/contants.php (like the instructions say) i can't find it. I'm sure i'm doing something wrong, so I was wondering if anyone could help me set this up. I had gotten the install from phpbbhacks.com. I've never really modded a raven site before, so this is pretty new to me.

The edit for the constants.php is on about line 158. Smile

Its around the bottom of the page. If you don't have an editor that numbers the lines, do the "Find" function in your text editor or browser and search for define('FORUMS_TABLE'

There shouldn't be too much of a significant difference in modding a RN distrubution over a regular Nuke.

The problem is I can't find the constants.php file in the location it says, or in the modules/forums/ folder. and the /includes/constants.php doesn't have the "define('FORUMS_TABLE'" in it (that I could find).

nevermind! I just found it in the includes/constants.php file Embarassed

I'm wanting to install this mod too... seems everyone wants to be notified when new topics are posted to a forum, not just new posts to a topic.

The version I have seems rather old ... It says version 1.4, 2004-02-22.

Is there something newer out there?
