Well, a friend of mine wanted me to make his own site.
I did this as a subfolder of mine for example
http//www.rootdomain.com/newsite
The only rpbolem is all the files are uploaded, SQl database is compiled, when I go to that address it just says "Page cannot be displayed".
Before I uploaded the files it listed the address as a directory.
I am suspecting this is due to the way the PHP variables are called and the subfolder site thinking to call files from the root folder.
Running PHPNuke platinum 7.6
Help greatly appreciated. |

Well It's far to graphic to quote here. See for yourselves. All that is displayed is some raw code from the censor list on the page :S

Er, um, I see what you mean.
yeah, make sure of two things: 1) like jjh221 said that everything was uploaded properly, and 2) that this web server can even recognize PHP.
BTW, I will be moving this thread to the NukePlatinum forum. |

P.S. Any specific reason why you chose NukePlatinum over RavenNuke(tm)? |

LOL!. It was possibly a bad install package I was using. I will retry when I return home.
It has been awhile since I fooled with PHP. What are the advantages of raven over nuke?
Oh BTW the web server not recognizing php is out of the question because the root website
comes up just fine. |

That really isn't the question. The question really should be "why NukePlatinum vs. RavenNuke?", only since that is what you were trying to install. I can only tell you what I have heard in the forums here as I have never used NukePlatinum:
- it comes loaded down with tons of mods (which can also be a security concern)
- it is not as well supported and maintained
RavenNuke(tm) is the opposite of these two as well as we have made over 10,000 fixes to compliance and PHP warnings and bugs and _____.
Regarding straight PHP-Nuke over RavenNuke(tm)? We have added only a few mods that people have asked for and left out the ones that can be easily done yourself, but the same comments regarding support and bug fixes apply.
NukeEvolution is another active project as well worth considering. |
