I upgraded both my development and production site without problems. Everything is working great.

Wave

However, HomeSite did not upload the following as they were no different than the ones on the server:

html\modules\Forums\modcp.php
html\modules\HTML_Newsletter\admin\functions.php
html\modules\Your_Account\admin\language\lang-slovak.php
html\modules\Your_Account\admin\language\lang-spanish.php
html\modules\Your_Account\admin\language\lang-swedish.php
html\modules\Your_Account\admin\language\lang-turkish.php

Did this happen because I had applied bug fixes reported in the support forums?

Very possible. I am not familiar with how HomeSite works. It's also possible/probable that we didn't change those files.

So how do I upgrade to 2.10.01 when I have 2.10.00?
Do I have to upload all files again? Or just run a script?
Dont want to overwrite all I have done

I just upgraded last nite from 2.10.00 to 2.10.01. There are a lot of files to update and I used Beyondcompare to sync which only took a few minutes. For files that I don't want to overwrite such as config.php I do a visual compare and make the changes as required. If you've got a lot of modded file on 2.10.00 you will have to determine if the new 2.10.01 files will impact your mods. But, that's the case for all revisions going forward. I'd be interested in how you and others protect their mods to make future revisions easier to accomplish.

I'm no expert but this revision was certainly produced by one (and many). Great job. worship

See the file rwsRavenNuke_2.10.01_patch_README file in the UtilityFiles directory of the archive.

If you have already modded a ton of files then you'll have to get familiar with awesome tools like Beyond Compare or WinMerge (free on SourceForge).

ok, i must ask the simple stupid question again. How do you upgrade? In the howtoinstall folder it says this in big bold red letters.

If you are upgrading from version 2.10.00 to 2.10.01, just use the provided Patch download and follow the instructions in the README file. You would NOT want to use the FULL download, nor these instructions here. But if you are coming from 2.02.02, read on.

I have not found a Patch download as of yet, only full distributions. I did find the patch read me in the utility files folder but no files for the patch/upgrade.

So, do I upload the full distribution or is there some where a folder containing only the changed files and the db upgrade scripts as mentioned in the howto?

Thanks.

You want the full package. I followed the instructions in this file:

"unpackdir"\RavenNuke_v2.10.01\UtilityFiles\rwsRavenNuke_2.10.01_patch_README

Hope this helps.

ok, just wanted to make sure, since that is just the opposite of what it says in the install directions.

You would NOT want to use the FULL download, nor these instructions here. But if you are coming from 2.02.02, read on.

that is also a lot more files than what was updated according to the change log.

Kind of misleading I guess to some simple minded ones as myself.

Thanks.

Just to be clear. When you open the file I listed above, it tells you what files to upload - the actually files changed since 2.10.00. It a fairly small number of files.

Ok, that makes more since than uploading all of them. They are just packaged with the full distr. instead of a sep. package. I. C. now.

Thanks.

Sorry about this. I wrote these instructions with the thinking that there would be a patch distribution. Webservant is correct!
