The RavenNuke(tm) Team announce that we are working on a v2.20.00 release. This release will add new add-ons and fix whatever bugs we are aware of. If you visit you will see we have already added GCalandar. Gremmie is working on an update and it will be even better!
We haven't finalized the products to be added but we have been discussing the following applications/functions. Obviously not all can be included - Sorry! We are aiming for an August/September time frame. We'll see .
Applications
* Nuke Treasury
* NSN Downloads
* NSN News
* Photo Gallery (Not Gallery - Gallery is too host/server dependent)
* Wiki/Blog
* Menu System (Not Sommaire)
* nukeSEO
* Who-is-Where block
* light-weight e-commerce (No definition at this time)
Functions
* AutoActivation
* Use SMTP in place of the mail() function
* GT-Next Gen enhancements
* Forum mod's
* Administration enhancements
This forum is locked but you can offer feedback in the forum. |

This is to let you all know that we are pretty firm on an 11/1/2007 release date.
Summary: We have added some new applications to the core. We continue to strive for complete XHTML 1.0 Transitional compliance.
Some Highlights:
- PHP v5.x compatible. This doesn't mean third party add-ons will be compatible but everything added/included in RavenNuke(tm) will be.
- The Forums, Private Messages, and Member List (BBtoNuke) have been recoded in order to make them compliant also IF your forum theme is compliant. We may not be 100% by release date but you will notice a much faster/snappier response.
- fisubice theme continues to be modified to allow for more standards compliant code. This is really a "model" of how the other/future themes should be coded for speed and compliance to HTML, XHTML, and CSS standards.
- More security upgrades (as always).
- WhoIsWhere
- Latest NukeSentinel(tm)
- GCalendar v1.7.0
- A paging class integrated into the News module. This class can also be applied to other applications.
- A new state of the art (if you will) RSS Feeder called nukeFEED(tm). This is already integrated into RavenNuke(tm). In our opinion you will want to get rid of all the other backend.php type code/files and use this. Trust us, you won't ever look back
- New and improved Installer
There are many more "behind the scenes" type changes. All will be documented in the CHANGELOG that will be published with the release. |

Well, we are no longer firm with 11/1/2007 release date
We have decided to add what we hope will be a replacement for the PHP mail() function since it has been getting all sorts of attention in the forums.
This will also allow for some more editing and possible enhancements.
We're thinking we shouldn't give you a specific date but we can assure you it will be before the end of the year! We are aiming for the first week in December. Trust us on this - It will be worth the wait |

Due to having to replace my PC and reinstall everything, in addition to performing major upgrades on all servers this past weekend, too much time was lost towards development on RN v2.2
The release date has been pushed out to the first week of 2008 |

I know I'm beginning to sound like Microsoft and I apologize
I am completing the work on the Installer (named Ravenstaller(tm)) and at first it was going to be a beta release but I want it to be more polished - and it will be
We are still looking at 2/2/2008 as a release date. At the most it will be 2/9/2008. Thank you for your patience and support. As I said before, it will be worth the wait! |
