Nuke Sentinel Install Troubles

I am trying to do a fresh install of NukeSentinel 2.5.10 on PHPNuke 7.9.

I had no problem installing it on my old hosting, but this new host is a little different. I did ALL the file edits and uploaded ALL the files.

I type in **/nsnst.php and the install drop box comes up and I select Fresh Install. When I select it, it gives no errors or anything, just goes to my Non-Admin Account page. I have no idea of why it is doing this, but does anyone else might know why it is ignoring the command and redirecting me to my Non-Admin Account page?

I'm not sure why it is doing this, but you could try installing the tables manually.

Are you using the latest Patched files?

@jakec: Install manually, as in importing the United States.sql file?

@Evaders: No I am not using the latest patched files. I suppose I could try it if you think it could help.

Sentinel requires the latest patched files. Grab yourself a copy of 7.9 patched, or better yet RavenNuke (which already has Sentinel installed for you).

Ok, I installed RavenNuke, I followed the HowToInstall thing about the Admins, I used the CGI instead of HTTP (Wasn't Available), I set up the Admins I wanted, I created the .staccess file AND added it to the .htaccess file, AND NOW I CAN'T LOGIN WITH THE ACCOUNTS I MADE! What is going on?

*Edit* Also I can't even login with the God Account *End*

No I still can't log into my site as stated above. The God Account and the Admin accounts can't be logged into after Following the Install Guide from Raven and Setting Up NukeSentinel.

There are two logins for admin which is why I am asking.

In addition, it is absolutely a requirement that you have the right absolute path to your .staccess file and not a relative one.

Yes I do have a Pop-Up Box when I try to access my admin.php.

The absolute path? That is a hard one since I really can't see it. I don't think it is home, is there a way to see it in FTP or CPanel?

Well I talked to my host and they said that the absolute path to file is home/$UserName/public_html/.staccess

That is what I put into the config for NukeSentinel so I don't know why it would not work.

I had this problem before, not with RN but our old Nuke, whereas i could set an admin pw and for some reason it was wrong, maybe when it did the MD5 it messed up, i dunno.

I got around it by editing my admins directly in PhpMyAdmin. If you are conversant with the program, try that. If not PM me and i will tell you how to do it, step by step. After i edited it once it was fine to use within the site.

I have not had a similar problem since using RN, but maybe a hosting glitch somewhere?

Is that a typo? Do you mean

/home/$UserName/public_html/.staccess

(note leading forward slash before home)

And I'm assuming you've replaced $UserName with your actual account user name.

What happens when you try to access the admin.php file? You get the pop-up but it doesn't accept your password?

Well then, I know I did not put /home/$Username/public_html/.staccess

(Yes the $UserName is the account username)

How can I edit it so that NukeSentinel goes to the correct path through the Database since I have no admin access as of right now?

Check the database table nuke_nsnst_config for the paths there you can also set e.g. http_auth= 0 and you should be able to login. Beneed this you can always rename .htaccess and .staccess for a short time to something else to login.

That worked (renaming files) so I will stick with this until I find a way to get this working.

But its normally only a wrong path ,sometimes spaces within the path or a wrong password.

Ok, well I went through it again, and now I do believe it is fixed, but not totally sure.

I built the .staccess file and modified the .htaccess file, changed the attributes to 777, put the paths in and now for Admin it gives the CGIAuth option and I chose that. It is seems I can only login with the God account, but it is the only one protected. So I have to protect the rest of the accounts for them to work?

Also is there suppose to not be a pop up when I try to access the admin.php? Is it just for the HTTPAuth?

I would also like to thank everyone for their time and trying to bear with me on this, though it seems to be all my fault for not recognizing things.

That sounds more that your additional protection is still not working correctly.
All my Superuser and the God account works with an extra popup and all passwords are set and protected.Of course you can always use the edit function in Admin Auth List.
