I am using PHP-Nuke 7.9
It seems that this issue all of a sudden arose. Never happened ealrlier. When people try to create a new account under the new user login they get an error message that says...
error... only registered users can view this area... ??? if you would like to create an account click "here". When they click "here" it takes them into the same loop of only registered users can view this area...
Not sure why its doing this. I had a few people register a few months ago and it seemed to work fine.
How can I check to make sure that this "create account" feature is working the way it should be??
Thanks

The Your_Account module must be allowed to all visitors in your admin panel -> Modules. |

Ok, now that the link is fixed, I have encountered another problem. When the new user recieves the confirmation email i.e.:
You or someone else has used your email account (abc.aol.com) to
register an account at Trotter Messenger.com!.
>
> To finish the registration process you should visit the following link in
the next 24 hours to activate your user account, otherwise the information
will be automaticaly deleted by the system and you should apply again:
>
>
www.trottermultimedia.com/modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=activate&username
=LaTecia&check_num=77cbc156ea87b0935bca9271aa42bf7d
They get a PAGE NOT FOUND error messgae.
I noticed that the URL used in the link is not the correct url to my site. DOH! Where do I change this url...
Not sure why so many problems on the registration side.
Thanks

The URL that is used in that email is set in your Admin panel under Preferences. |

Kool. I chnaged it!
What I did to test it was I used the same url the registrant got and i changed the first part to the correct urltomy site and it worked but it came back ands said no such user exists in the database.
Does the user have to do it from their computer? Is that why it is telling me that no such user exists in the database?? |

The link probably expired. It is only good for a limited time. Test it by creating a test user. |

Seems the complete process is working fine now. I did create a testuser. Worked like a charm for me.
I think all is fixed. Thanks again for your help.
