Most every forum has it and it is a very valuable feature when working with big forums. Please think about adding this...
I hate bloated things. If someone hits report this post button then it would send the moderators group a e-mail and potentially if they are online, a popup PM...but again, less is better imo. |

All right there are only some big forums without report function.
It should be standard like NukeSentinel for Nuke.

The question is what kind of report mod in RavenNuke would be the best because there are several different report mods available. |

Fluke you could add a poll here for the report mod so that people can vote. |

I voted with YES because I manage a community with over 11.000 international registered members the most of us are gamefreaks .
Like every other new website we had only a few registered members some years ago and it was a bit easier to check all new posts but boards can grow fast and as webmaster you canīt check your website 24/7.
As soon as your community grows youīll notice all kinds of unwanted posts, unwanted referer links, spam, not allowed illegal entries, large pictures, not allowed ads, racist taunts etc. Oh, my list is much longer but ...
All you can regularize in your forums rules thats great but the problem is many donīt read or donīt follow rules. Communities are the place for every kind of peoples and therefore a report mod is a very simple solution to make your life as webmaster much easier. The report works with only a small icon beneed the quote function in your forum not a great thing but very effective. |

You can try this version I am converting on for Platinum B.5. Its not complete yet but I am sure you can fix any compatability issues with RN.

I would reiterate Susann's comments with the caveat that if done correctly, it is a great thing that notifies moderators of questionable posts (again, because you can't watch everything all of the time). I've always considered this mod as a required baseline function which is why I incorporated it. I would highly recommend the feature for any baseline solution that utilizes phpBB forums.
Keep in mind that you may need to do some custom graphics work to add the new icon to your site's theme. Be mindful of existing icon sizes and placement when adding this function because you don't want it to roll down a line or throw off subject spacing. On my site, I have a red "Report" icon that doesn't detract from the look/placement while getting the job done and of course keeps my forums module 100% W3C Compliant. |
