I thought long and hard about what version of Nuke to use before I decided on RavenNuke. The deciding factor was security. I knew if it was good enough for this site then it was good enough for me. I know that is the main priority here. I love the FCKeditor being built in but my question is which files/modules do I NOT want to replace? In other words, what files are modified to work with the FCKeditor? I tried a site search and came up empty. Just made my first donation to thank you for your hard work. Wink

If you're using 2.10.01, all you need to change to use the HTML editor is the $advanced_editor setting in rnconfig.php.

Guess I didn't make myself clear. Sorry about that. I just don't want to overwrite any of the files in case I use any addons, etc. I am indeed using 2.10.01.

I'm not sure anyone can give you a generic answer to your question. I would recommend using a tool such as Beyond Compare where you can do a folder (or site wide) comparison of a directory structure on a PC with that on a web server. That will show you exactly which files have been modified, and which ones exist only on the "left" (say PC) and "right" (say Server) side. That's the only safe way.

And of course back the whole thing up before you make any changes so if you later find out that a file you deleted is needed you can go get it easily.

I will definitely get that program. Thanks so much for the suggestion. I'd never heard of Beyond Compare. I think I'll also put together a test site just to be extra safe. Thanks guys. You've been a big help.

BTW, Winmerge is another good one and it is free from sourceforge.net. However, I, too, use Beyond Compare 2 ALL the time...

I've purchased Beyond Compare. Now I just have to find the time to learn how to use it. LOL! You guys are really great, and thanks so much for all the answers and suggestions. You know whenever I run into a problem I usually do a Google search and it almost always leads me here. Ya'll do great work!

Good for you. You want to figure out how to set up a FTP compare (local disk on one side, your site on the other). Also how to use filters to exclude everything but php files. And, a lot of times you might want to proceed one directory at a time because (a) it's faster and (b) the results are clearer. Also, you can use Beyond Compare as a FTP tool and synch your files up that way. So it has a lot of uses.

Wow, I feel like a Beyond Compare newbie! I don't use half of what you have said fkelly... Smile The disadvantage of being set in ones ways (me).

Way to go Debbi!
