Hi,

Is there a way change the default setting for "receive Newsletter" from "NO" to "YES" in the new user registration form ?

However, beware, that if you do this, you are not giving folks the chance to "Opt-In". In some countries, you have to warn people up front if signing up on your site is going to cause them to get such emails. You might want to point them to read a TOS or Privacy Policy first before they sign up and then on any newsletters what you send, give them a way to "Opt-Out".
