I'm having trouble with the installer script for rnv76 2.10.02.

New Install.

After I start the index.php file it reports that everything is fine:

Quote:
config.php file found!
Successfully connected to localhost as user rn76v21002 and assigned password!
Database rn76v21002 found!

When I press the button for step 1 it fails, returns back to the same page and gives this message on the bottom of the screen:

Quote:
The exact error message that your MySQL server reported is:
MySQL Error # 4 = You have an error in your SQL syntax near '; ' at line 1

I've checked the .sql file, and reuploaded it several times. I don't see anything really wrong with it.

Any suggestions?

Is it possible that a - in my domain name is creating an invalid sql querry?

I'm not sure if that's the case, but possibly. Could you PM the SQL that failed to one of the moderators?

You might be on a really old mySQL version? I have personally installed this with no problem on 4.1.x and above. Could you still be back on 4.0.x or below?

That was it Montego.

It was odd to me that there were no msysql errors in that error log, but after upgrading a few versions the installation worked for me.

Thanks
