Ive downloaded raven nuke 2.10.01 and i saw the message to rename the file after download.

So this is what i tried......

Renamed to :

RavenNuke_v2.10.01.tar.gz

And when i go to extract all....theres nothing inside the folder.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanx

What? I don't see anything saying to rename the files

I downloaded "RavenNuke[tm] Version 2.10.01 Released [.tar.gz pkg. 7.3 meg]"
and it saved it as "RavenNuke_v2.10.01.tar.gz"

That works fine using WinRar

vaporpcs, you downloaded the 7-Zip version. Raven provides the download in different compression formats. If you want GZIP, you need to pick that particular download. If you want to uncompress the one that you have downloaded, get yourself 7-zip over at

Yes Windows XP SP2 still suffers from that annoying problem of automatically renaming any file with the extension gz.tar which means some compresion utilities do not handle it too well.
If you ever need to download a package that is ONLY available in that format, you can rename it but I'd recomend you use your ftp client to rename the package NOT Windyblows explorer.

Dance-Y ..for windows..not

The only instruction i saw in the RN installer to rename files was the INSTALLATION folder..after install. Glad you had the blonde moment that everyone does Cheers

Actually, the issue was vaporpcs had downloaded the 7-zip version of the RavenNuke distribution rather than the version that he/she had thought was downloaded. This time, it was not the infamous Windows XP SP2 issue with IE. Although, that is the usual culprit...
