I have a user called nukeuser in my moderator group.

Who is this? I can't seem to delete or edit the user. Is this secure?

Sounds to me like this was probably the user you initially setup during the RavenNuke install as it asks you for both and admin user and a normal user. It has to tie your normal user to the moderator group so that there is at least one moderator.

Does this found familiar / right to you? Had you done a clean installation AND used setup.php or was this a migration from a different PHP-Nuke?

BTW, the forums work not off your admin user. You must also have a normal userid and give that user the permissions necessary to manage your forums.

No this doesn't sound right and it doesn't relate to my forum groups but my RN groups instead. I think I have some kind of idea of what may have happened.

I think I created the group moderators but I can't remember why I did so. I think I then added one of more people to the group but then dropped some user groups during a re-import of phpbb data. Do you think this could be possible?

Is the RN group moderators a standard group? If not I will just delete the group

Yes, phpBB (the forums) requires that there be a moderator group and so one is placed there upon initial install. With the integration to the NSN Groups (Edit Groups), it gives you the flexibility to change who is in that group or to create additional groups that could then be used in the Forums to drive permissions of the forums.

So can I delete the group MODERATORS within 'Edit Groups' or do I need it? As I still hav this 'nukeuser' that I can't edit or delete. And if I do need the group can I delete it and re-create it?

I am not a phpBB expert, so, not 100% certain. I would suggest "pinging" Evaders99 on this one.
