I have uncovered another issue with my move from a local server to my host:
I have phpnuked gallery installed with gallery 2 - Now I can't administer nor use the gallery. I guess I could uninstall and re-install but just wondered if anyone had come across this problem when moved

p17blo, when you post new threads, please give your thread subject lines a more descriptive value that reflects the problem that you are having. Thanks.
Gallery must be looking for specific absolute file locations. I would first check to see if you can find its configuration files (the files that were written out when you first configured it locally) and see if you can spot the changes that are needed. Otherwise, your only option may be to run through the installation wizard again. |

G2 is not simple to migrate. It is permission sensitive. You will need to first ask your host to recursivly chmod your g2data folder and ALL of its contents to 777. Sometimes that is enough to make it work again. Otherwise, turn on error reporting via config.php and see what it tells you. Also you can look in your cpanel error log. Good luck! |

Run the Gallery 2 installation again, make sure you have the configurations correct.. esp with Safe Mode and other permissions. |
