Having an issue with sending private messages through the latest distro - keeps coming up Invalid Session please resubmit the form - have tried this logging out and in again to no avail.

PM's are enabled in the forum configuration any ideas or where to look to sort.

Also does anyone know any good downloads blocks that allow you to allow users to upload as well.

There are a many threads on forums and invalid sessions. Try starting with this one:

or search. You probably need to do something with your cookie path in Forums configuration.

thanks fkelly - did search but for some reason was awfully slow earlier and nothing came up - tried what it set and sorted it by changing the cookie path much appreciated.

Any idea on the other question?

I'm not sure that I understand your reply. If the post that I referenced doesn't do it for you then you can search on invalid session and choose the ALL option in the search. There are a lot of posts about setting the cookie path in Forums configuration. You will just need to reset your path until it works.

Try going to forums configuration. Scroll down to where it says cookie path. If your domain name is "mysite.com" try setting the cookie path to
.mysite.com

set your cookie name to:

phpbb2mysql2

set your cookie path to

/

That works for me on my "production" site.

My PM issue is a little different. They simply won't send. You type them up and when you send the page reloads without sending, like you're previewing without the preview. I checked the forum configuration and PM's are turned on. I'm a little confused. Thanks in advance for the help. Smile

redsoxrule, this is a different issue than "Invalid Session", so please do some more digging (if you have not already) and if you still cannot figure it out, please start a new thread.

BTW, I lived off of Mill Ave. in Tempe in the 80's when it was still a cool place to be. Before all the runaways took over, lol. AZ rules!
