Can I point new site at old database?

OK.

I have two sites and two databases.
1 is Nuke 8.1 and is being used....
8.1 is not working for me so I've gone for RN a fresh installation, its a hell of a lots better thanks Raven Smile

I want to keep the tables from the old site logins forums ect...
could I just change the config.php on the RN site to look at the 8.1 DB
then close the 8.1 site down.
would this work

or will i have to try to impost the tables that I need into the DB I cave created..

If so is there a tutorial Very Happy

If you're ever back this way give me a shout. I live on the Kansas side just 15 minutes from Missouri state line.

Look at the Docs in HowToInstall/index.php and select the Upgrade option. That should assist you with what you need.
