Raven,
You do such a great job on so many things, I feel like asking for an enhancement is being greedy! But I would like to make a suggestion for NS
I would like to see the Nuke Sentinel Blocks modified to "mask" the exact version of NS to anyone but Admins.
For example an Anonymous user would see:
Sentinel
You have been warned!
We have caught 55 shameful hackers.
NukeSentinel(tm) 2.5.xx
A Member would also see:
Sentinel
You have been warned!
We have caught 55 shameful hackers.
NukeSentinel(tm) 2.5.xx
While the Admin would see:
Sentinel
You have been warned!
We have caught 55 shameful hackers.
NukeSentinel(tm) 2.5.13* (*or the current version number).
The reason why? Well I believe in showing that NS is running on my site, to help deter, but I do not wish to have the exact version number displayed to people as it in a way advertises what it can stop in a sense.
Thank you for your time!
Best regards,

To remove it, here's the edit for the NS Center block. Look for the same line in any other block, they are all the same.
Find:
| Code: | | $content .= '<hr /><center><a href="http://www.nukescripts.net" target="_blank" title="NukeSentinel™ Available at Nuke Scripts Network">'._AB_NUKESENTINEL.' '.$ab_config['version_number'].'</a></center>'."\n"; |
Change to:
| Code: | | $content .= '<hr /><center><a href="http://www.nukescripts.net" target="_blank" title="NukeSentinel™ Available at Nuke Scripts Network">'._AB_NUKESENTINEL.'</a></center>'."\n"; |

You īll find both under downloads:
NukeSentinel version 2.5.14:
Detailed instructions are e.g. in readme and "Edits For Core File"
The newest IP2Country you ll find at
RavenNuke is with NukeSentinel preinstalled:

This hit the spot and helped so much. I agree with Susann on the whole attackers can pin point what version and hack or try to attack this feature. Although, I can't see the Sentinel getting hacked or modified by anyone other than the Admin who controls it, because it has banned me several times for sneezing...
Great work and thanks for the MOD INFO |

Oh well the most donīt have any reason to hidde the version number because they are up-to-date with their NukeSentinel version.
Also I would suggest download NukeSentinel only from trusted official sites.
Why ? I found a lot of sites where you can download NukeSentinel but such sites are often not informed about changes and I quess they donīt update their downloads immediately. So there is a risk to use NukeSentinel from someplace. |

I thought we had removed the public version numbers from NukeSentinel already. |

Version 2.5.18 will be the version that has all public viewable version numbers removed. Was one of the things on my long to-do list for all the scripts I work on |
