Well this problem is with both IE and FF.
I am using EDL Downloads Module. Things like .mp3 files and other media files don't get downloaded when I click on the download link but get opened in WMP or some other player.
In IE I can atleast select save link as, but in FF I can't even do that.
Any suggestions? |

Sure you can
In FF - Select Tools -> Options -> Content -> File Types (Configure How FF handles certain types of files) -> Manage -> Scroll down to MP3 and click on it -> Select Change Action -> Select which option you want |

I would, but unfortunately forcing my users takes a bit more persuasion |

My guess would be Control Panel -> Folder Options -> File Types.
But neither of these solutions will help your users. That only changes the browser for you, not them. |

You could place the media files in Zip file, or something similar. |
