When I tell Google to use my sitemap.xml it says it gets a 302 redirect (moved temporarily), but I cannot see where this is caused in .htaccess. The sitemap is definitely in my public_html directory.
When I look at Google's Overview regarding my site (peterwade.com), it says it "We can't currently access your home page because of an unreachable error."
One of their explanations is that "The hosting server is blocking Google's web crawler", which sounds to me like my htaccess with 666 permissions is blocking Googlebot. While I love the security I have, it is essential I get Google to crawl my site.
Can anyone help me to get Google to search my site?
I have added to my robots.txt file the following...
user-agent: Googlebot
Disallow:
as they suggested on their help page.
