First of all Merry Xmas and wishing you a Happy New Year from Germany.
My problem is when I click the PayPal Donate button I am not getting the Paypal menu that lets a member use his/her credit card instead I am getting the sign up for PayPal menu to donate
1. Ravens 7.6 is installed on my site and I have Treasury 2006.
2. I have a premier account with Paypal.
I just can't get it to accept credit cards, all other functions works like a charm.
Thank you in advance |

Hi danno58,
What you are describing isn't under the control of the NukeTreasury script. It simply directs you to a Paypal link where people can donate. In my experience, Paypal makes it hard to donate by credit card by making the link non-obvious, but it is there. When I click on Raven's donate button (hint, hint ) it takes me to a screen and off to the left near the bottom (above the graphics of credit cards) are these words:
Don't have a PayPal account?
Use your credit card or bank account (where available). Continue.
And Continue is the link you have to click on to donate via Credit Card without signing up at Paypal. |

Well I have at least gotten it to the point that when you select your donation amount in Treasury and click Make a Donation it then takes you to the Paypal menu where you can select your country.
When I then select USA the credit cards icons shows up.
I can work with this now. I will never know if this was the reason it didn't work the way I wanted it before but the only thing I did to my site was set a url for the cookies in the forums instead of it being left blank.
Thanks again and I must say that I am really impressed with all of you at Ravenscripts.
Thanks again |

No conceivable way that setting a cookie in forums could have any effect on Paypal. The Paypal support site can be complicated to navigate but if you can get into their forums, particularly for IPN, there is some very valuable, even essential information there. You may be using Treasury to shield you from some of the complexity but under the surface it (the complexity) is still there and you will probably need to deal with it from time to time. Might as well get their Forums bookmarked and know how to get there in advance. |
