Strange issue with forum posts.

I am having a strange issue with some(a lot) of my forum topics. Recently(yesterday), certain posts take a very VERY long time to load...IF at all. While others have a load time of less than 1 sec.

I have a few different backups of my db that I tried(even up to 1 year ago) with all the same result. I would think that if it was a table index not optimized that using an older db from when this did not happen would make things go back to normal. No such luck.

Could this be another part of RN that is causing this? All other aspects of the site work as they always have.

Also, for the record I havent installed anything new on this site for months. Possibly close to a year. The only thing that changes regularly is the content.

I do have coppermine photo album that I let members use to upload photos...however the last upload was in November of last year.

If anyone has experienced this and has a solution, I would appreciate it much.

Can't see any way that this would be related to RavenNuke(tm). When this happens can you reproduce it 100% of the time on the same post or does it only do it sometimes?

Thanks for the reply. It happens on the same posts all of the time as far as I can tell. It seems like it prefers to do it with topics that have 3 or more posts.

I am in the process of installing a fresh install on another domain and restoring the db to make sure its nothing corrupted in nuke. I guess IF I get the same result on the fresh install....then its something with my hosting provider.

I'll update this thread when I get the fresh install going later on tonight.

Very odd indeed. But, at least you've [possibly] determined a pattern. Please be sure to keep us in the loop. This one sounds interesting Wink

Ok....heres an update.

It must be something with the RN2.02.02 because I backed up the db and installed RN2.20.01 and upgraded the db tables. Every page loads fine as it should on this clean install.

I for the life of me have no idea what could have happened with the live site because as I said previously there has been no mods to it in a long while.

I wasnt planning on upgrading my site at this point and time...but I think I will take the rest of the weekend and add all of my mods to the new RN and just be done with it.

I wish I had more time to try and figure out what is happening with it.
