I have a module that is old and doesn't work anymore but can work if the module is sorted out. Guardian had alook for me and told me it might be possible to get it working so that why I'm posting in the for hire section.
The link to the module on my website is

The problem is when you put your email into it and try and get your contacts from it to send invitations out it keeps saying "failed to connect to server" so I wondered how much it would cost to fix this or for someone to make a brand new 1 for me?

Thanks
Danny

Is there anyone looking in these forums for work or to be hired? Lol
I've noticed not alot of people post in here very often.
I need this to work asap, need a quote first though.

danny234, many folks are contacted directly through PM, so you may not see that their need was satisfied. The other thing to consider is timing. Folks could be jammed up at the moment with prior commitments. And lastly, which is where I fall into, I am not familiar with this integration with IM, so it would take me even too long to quote...

Let us see if these two bumps gets you some help.

Did you contact your host to make sure you can use outgoing socket connections?
I know the module is broken but I would hate someone to offer to fix it and then you find you cannot even use it because your host does not permit outgoing sockets.

For anyone else reading this there are some new Classes using PHP5.x available which seem to work but I personally am swamped at the moment so have not had time to look at it any further.

I had a long wait on a reply from my host and they just reply saying they don't allow outgoing socket connections which is disappointing Sad
do you know if I can use another msn application that doesn't have to use that or another way around it? Or does that or any other module similar need it.

Thanks
Danny
