Shout box

Hey All;

I was just looking at the shout box on my site and notice that it has around 500 shouts bulit up in it. Now I was wondering if there was a script that I could add the either the block-Shout_Box.php or the index.php in the mod folder.

Sorry not quite sure what you are asking. Are you looking to turn the shoutbox block into a module?

LOL sorry I didn't finish my thoughts. I'm looking or was wondering about script I could add that would automatically delete old "shout's" so i don't have to go in and delete them manually

There is a shout prune option in the admin control panel for the shoutbox... I think it's on the bottom when you click on this "shoutbox" icon if I'm not mistaking

Yeah i looked for something like that, but didn't see one. Maybe I need to upgrade my shout box

Be sure to take the Shoutbox icon on the top (Administration Menu) NOT the one from the Modules Administration as it has fewer options

Then look under this shout box and you should notice something like

Prune Shouts

Prune shouts older than [....] days [Do prune]

I believe the version included in the latest RN distro (2.20.01) is 8.5

If you go to the "layout" tab, you will find your version number on the bottom (at least in version 8.5 don't know about previous versions)
