I am having an issue and it only seems to be members with ip addresses. They can access my main page /index.html but when they click enter to go into the /nuke part they get a blank white screen. I have narrowed the issue down to the "NukeSentinel(tm) 2.5.18" I have running. Does anyone knoe where excatly I have to go to allow 99.X.X.X.X ip addresses ?

My understanding is these are new version 2 ips. That are being made because they ran out of other addresses to use. Any see this issue before or any ideas. Please let me know.

thanks,
dj Slue

You can add IP's to the protected ip range in NS, but I would only do it if you trust those people.

Is your IP2C up to date?

So what I need to do is go to "Protected Range Menu" and then "Add Protected Range" and add the ip of the person who is being blocked ? Some people aren't very handy on computers and can't find their ip. There is no other way to fix this ?

thanks

Try searching the database thru your NS admin search function for the following ranges:
Code:
99.0.0.0 - 99.15.255.255 us
99.128.0.0 - 99.191.255.255 us
99.193.0.0 - 99.193.255.255 us
99.194.0.0 - 99.194.255.255 us
99.196.0.0 - 99.198.95.255 us
99.200.0.0 - 99.207.255.255 us
99.208.0.0 - 99.223.255.255 ca
99.224.0.0 - 99.255.255.255 ca

If they come up as anything but the noted countries change them to said countries. If your copy of the IP2Country database is old you may only have one range of 99.0.0.0 - 99.255.255.255. In this case it would still be reserved and need updating.

Knowing more about the site and users is also needed. Something is not right in that if they are blocked by ip they would not even get to your index page. Contact me privately thru the email link in my post.

Hey man,

I went and ran an update for IP2COUNTRY "IP2Country_2008-05-19"

It is only showing:

99.0.0.0 99.255.255.255 (01) IANA Reserved 2004-10-22 99.0.0.0/8

So I think I still need to do that update you mentioned.

I am new at editing around in this section. Where do I add this ?

Is it under the "Protected Range Menu" and then "Add Protected Range" and add the ranges and corresponding countries you stated in the post ?

You also wanted to know more about my site. It is a worldside dj country. There are about 13,000 members from all over the world. It only seems to be Canadains, Americans and some Germans having this issue. They can see my main /index.html, but get a blank page once they try to enter the /nuke section.

Thank you,

Steve

All my AOL members in the UK are now having this problem.
Most of who had access before.
They are mostly in the 92. range
So I'm not sure if AOL has changed anythink.

I'm about to up date mine to NukeSentinel(tm) 2.5.18.
But I'm not sure the isse is there

File:
Code:

Extract and upload to your site. Then use "Import Data" and then "Import to IP2Country". Sounds like you need to update the complete IP2Country so start with the first country and let it run til it's done with the last country.

So you have a static html page as an opening page then and that is why they are seeing that. Then anything from the nuke part of the site is giving them white space correct?
