I'm not sure if this is place for this post but ... I'm not sure if this is an issue with 7.3 or Raven's 7.3 or phpbb? Or if it isn't an issue and just something I don't like.

I'm quite distressed that email addies on the MemberList and in Forums are showing up in the IE6 status bar. It's great if the the only member reading those addies is admin, but even after I logged out as admin I was able to read addies. Sad

This behaviour will not fly on my website, even if it is a user option to turn it off.

I'm looking at the members list index.php file cause I should be able to rem out something, right? But I'm lost. And guessing that this is buried somewhere deep in the forums includes or something, some javascripting?

Rolling Eyes hugs and flowers 6 ... thanks. I've just never seen it before on any recent installation. Anyways, I learn something new everyday.

phpbb config question: smtp.php is replacement for my server smtp? Not using smtp on test site. But, give it time and one morning I'll wake up and need to turn it on... or then it breaks and I need to turn it off.

I don't believe so it just uses smtp instead of the native php mail() function. Which seems to work out better sometimes.

Hi all just joined Laughing
My problem is as above but i run a number of scripts on my site.
Email icons showing in members list when turned off in profile.
Also on all posts in forum.
This is not an option the enable board Emails as most dont want there email on site.
Strange thing is only a couple of my sites do it .
I dont want to lock member list up like this site just make the don't show email option work in profile.
Thanks in advance as all my groups and forums love Raven scripts.
Cheers

Edit: Having a Blonde Moment im admin cause i can see all the emails.
Anyway nice to be here love the scripts. speedtype

In your Forums Configuration, enable the email through board feature. That will hide all the email addresses and instead give a web-based contact form.
