I am trying to assign moderator status to a user and the database won't update. Strange as it is this is the first time I have tried to assign a moderator since starting up my site over a year ago. I don't get any errors at all.

I'm at a loss here. If someone could at least tell me what tables to update in the database for assigning moderator I would appreciate it.

Use the usergroups link in your main forums page to add the user to the Moderator's group. Then, through forum admin, change his rank.

You know what, I don't have the rank of moderator. Go figure.

You know, I really just need to go through the database and find out what is causing this. Every time this happens it is a function in the database I'm not using anymore.

I found another protector entry in nuke_users table called "last_seen_blocker" and removed it. I still cant update user permissions though.

The group moderator exists. I added him to this group. I gave the group moderators permission to moderate the forums in question.

It 'should' work.

When I go into the forum in question next to Moderators it says 'none'.

Create the rank of Moderator and add that to his name as far as the rank goes.

I just ran Chatserv's 'fixgroup.php' file and now I can assign moderator status to that user.

I bet that any time you run an update on the database to a new version of nuke you gotta run this script. I ran it back when I was on 6.9.
