I get this error and was wondering what i do to fix it.... Im going mad here

Yes, the database is all installed and its all in the right parts, so i should think, persona_non_grata i added u on msn , so if u can give me help i would appreciate it

i took out the links to my site for security reasons

ive checked the config file and the ipnpd.php file and i guess i just dont know what i am doing on the config part what im guessing is tat its not looking up and getting my user name and password

The config in the treasury admin contol all works fine. Teh Donate-o-Meter block works but will not update when a donation is made.

I am new to PHP etc and have a rudementary understanding of it. I cannot understand what the error is telling me. Is it saying that it can not read the DB or can not find the config file??

Any help would be appreciated before my angry donators lynch me for not being transparent with their donations.

simply tells that it cannot find the config file...
try playing with the path a litle...
and check your database settings in the donations config file

Thanks for the reply. But this only raises more questions with me. (Like I said, this is all a little new to me) so thanks for your patience.

Which config file are we talking about?? Are we talking the Nuke config.php file in the main root directory?

How do I "play with the path"? I am not sure where the path is located.

You are supposed to copy config.inc.php to config.php and change the config.php for your setup. That way you have the original (as *.inc) and your personalized one. That should be in the instructions somewhere but evidently it isn't. Have you done that?

I have looked at the files for this and it seems some files call for config.inc.php and other for config.php
Make the required edits in config.inc.php and upload to your server
Rename it on the server to config.php
Reupload config.inc.php
you should now hvae both files on your server.

Obviously that is just a quick and dirty fix, what is really needed is to change all references in the files so they are all calling for the same file.

If you can wait an hour or so I'll do that and ask Raven to place it in the downloads here.

I followed the installation instructions and yes, there was no instruction about config.php

I have edited the config.inc.php to reflect the new database name, username password etc. I created for the treasury records.

Are you saying that there should be a second config.php that resides in the same place? If so, I can follow the kind advice from Guardian2003, but what are the ramifications of this? I would rather aim for a cleaner install if I can. (and if Raven would be so kind)

You should be able to download it from this site under Nuke/Modules when it has been approved by Raven or you can grab it here
