Are you still using GT-Nextgen? If so there is a handy little tool at the GT-Nextgen site that can convert your blocks for you.

Hi curtis,

No for the persona_non_grata site im using googletap cause gt nextgen isnt compatible with the CZmodules block from telli im using.
But its a matter of what we prefer...

But allthough im not using gt i tried the block generator but it doesnt work.

For example...using the generator..
Normaly the link to a topic is...
modules . php ? name = Forums & file = viewtopic & p = 46#46
(posted it wide cause the forum here trashes it)

After converted its : ftopicp-46.html#46 , but that doesnt excist

I was hoping that would solve your issues for you. Sorry it was bum advice. I haven't really messed around with Googletap myself, but chose GT-NextGen instead, so I am afraid I am just no help at all. Laughing

Maybe one of the other folks here can help.

Is it possible to review the rewrite rules and the url in and url out codes for the existing forums, weblinks and downloads then using that info modify your blocks accordingly? I am not sure how Googletap handles it for sure but in GT you can view these codes and using that info modify stuff to use it.

After I made my post I went looking for a solution to your CZModules and GT-NextGen incompatability issue and found this post at codezwiz that may help you.

its send curtis..
well i tried gt but i already have a modified version og the modules file, telli did that cause it had a conflict with e-solution...
but i think googletap is maybe easier to extend.
i mean..you only have to add lines into the file header.php an htaccess.
and unlike gt i dont have to create a file...

Yeah I have heard a little about the original Googletap. Seems like quite a few prefer it. Not sure why I chose GT-NextGen (can't remember what made me decide) but since I use it I am a bit more familar there, however I will try my best to see if I can figure out something that helps.

Well just as I feared...they are close enough in design that it looks familar, but there are some differences in the way that they rewrite. Once again I think I may be useless... *LOL*

Did I understand you correctly to say that as it is, it isn't correctly rewriting the urls for the forums?

I wonder if you were to substitute some of the rewrites from NextGen...... LOL

I think the others usually start popping in by the late evening, and Raven has been sick lately. I am sure someone will pop in soon. I think TheosEleos has experience with the original Googletap, maybe he can help.

My territory? I don't understand what you mean, forgive me.

I have been using GT-NextGen for quite a while and am not sure of where all the two differ. I do know however that GT-NextGen has not been problematic in any way on the sites I use it on.
