Usually its a problem with sending emails, check the mail settings in your Forums Configuration

Just to make sure, please send yourself a Feedback message and make sure you are getting that.

Also, have you made any mods to your forum files?

Hi I am not totally sure if my settings are correct?

it explains this in the forum config

I have added the email address but it gives the options below
do I need to fill all these options in also?? I am not sure what those options are about really and if I have to use them?

Use SMTP Server for email
Say yes if you want or have to send email via a named server instead of the local mail function Yes No
SMTP Server Address
SMTP Username
Only enter a username if your SMTP server requires it
SMTP Password
Only enter a password if your SMTP server requires it

thanks for any help

did you try the Feedback message and did it email to you like I ask you to? That needs to be validated first. If that email works, then you would not have to kill in any of the SMTP settings in the Forum --> Configuration and the setting for "Use SMTP Server for email" could remain as "no".

My humblest of appologies mrix! I am so focused on Nuke, that I failed to realize that you were talking of a stand-alone implementation! Since this as standalone implementation, I am not sure where the individual user settings are. I was going to ask you if you could look to see if those specific users had in fact changed their setting (saved it!) by using phpmyadmin.

It is strange that the reminder email is working, but not the post reply. Have you asked this question also over at the support forums for PHPBB? If they cannot help you, you may want to try to give Chatserv a PM and ask him to look at this thread.

Again, sorry about leading you down the "nuke" path on this!
