Is it possible to use the current data in the database of a platinum site to a nuke 7.6 site? I would like to do away with the platnum for my client. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and Merry Christmas.

Well I don't use Platinum, but if there are no significant changes to the core tables, then yes. I believe there was a Platinum to normal phpNuke converter available at http://www.nukeresources.com

Depending on which version it is (7.6.0, 7.6.0+2, 7.6.0b2 - b4), you have a tuff chore ahead of you. Many of the core table were changed, and its not a very easy task.

You might be better off taking the users table, and the bb tables (I assume that is all they really want to keep) and figure out how to covert just them. Then import them in to the nuke install.

We offer a PNP - Evo conversion Wink But I have not seen a PNP to standard nuke converter around, but maybe there is one on nukeresources.

I would be interested in any info about converting nuke platinum back over to either nuke 7.6 or Ravens distrobution of Nuke. I know it wasnt a smart move to go to a bridged version....oh well.

Again there isnt one that I know of. PNP tables are not that far off from standard nuke tables, if you took some time you should be able to move backwards.

You you will need to use a version that has an upgrade already done, like Evolution Wink

Thanks....I checked out my options and that seems like a good one. I have started the slow process of getting ready to port my platinum installation to Evo my new server while keeping my user database and phpbb posts intact.

I wish there was a system for doing this as I have tried to port back to nuke 7.6 and other versions many times without sucess. (I also wish I could hire somebody to port everything over and make sure everything is working - but doing things manually is how I learn in the first place) Smile

Captain_Computer, I thought your instructions were excellent and so made it a "Sticky" over under the RavenNuke76 2.x forum. Everyone may access it here:

Thanks!
