A friend of mine is running 7.4 without nukesentinel and is getting hacked a couple time a week. I told him to upgrage 7.6 and install the latest NSN. He is installing NSN but does not really want to upgrade to 7.6 (don't know why). Is there anything he can do to beef up 7.4 to help with securing his site without going to 7.6? |

Unforunately since Patched isn't being updated for 7.4, he'd have to make all the changes manually. A lot of work, since many of the file paths have been changed as well... esp with the admin files.
Upgrading to 7.6 now will save him a lot of headache in the future. That is just my opinion, of course.. others here do use other versions.. 6.9 and onward. However, I'm sure they must be quite vigilant in patching and maintaining their systems. |

This particular site has not been upgraded nor patched for at least 6-9 mths. I am trying to get him to upgrade to 7.6p3.2 or RN76-2.02 but I we will see. I doubt he is comfortable with SQL to try moving the data from his db to RN76. |

I'm surprised it wasn't hacked earlier. But may not have had public links to it
Really there aren't too many database changes. Most of the changes are file related, esp with installation of Sentinel and upgrading the forums |
