Hi there. I would like to implement GeSHi (the syntax highlighter) in my forums. As we are a community that works a lot with code, it would be much easier for users to read highlighted code instead of one block of code. I have found GeSHi , but I cannot figure it out how to implement it under the bbtonuke port. My final solution is to ask here, maybe somebody has done this integration and would like to share with me.

All the best!

. E107 has already integrated this syntax highlighter. It is a "little miracle", I mean it is one of those addons that makes a pleasure out of reading code. Thanks for your interest in this subject!

oh yeah, GeSHi, I have tried it and it's very EASY to intergrate...
All you need is:
1. NEW BB CODE for GeSHI, like
[code lang='php'][/code]
2. use the GeSHi class
I have made GeSHi into other programs. But makes it into PHPbb might be hard because normally I need all the source code printed and read it though the night and draw diagrams of function relations and all other stuff for me to come out with an idea to change it...(compare to all other programs.. PHPBB is just TOOOO BIG to print out....)

Sorry I just have not got around to this yet but its still on my to do list.
Check the PHP bbcode tag in my forums and if thats the sort of thing you wanted its a relatively easy hack.

Certainly, I think you should be able to see the 'email' icon under my forum posts or PM me.
It's certainly going to be in the New Year before I can look at this now due to other commitments though sorry.
