I have been trying to buy advertising space for my clients banner to display to show off his new website. I have done a good deal of research on most of the high traffic sites that I found.

Now, most of the sites, such as this one have a very reasonable rate for advertising. I am sure my client will purchase the time. However, I went to nuke cops to look at the rates and I must say, in my opinion, the fees are outrageous.

Perhaps others of you would disagree with me, that is fine, however It is hugely disproportionate to the other sites that I have checked on. Their rates are as follows.

250 dollars for the least expensive, then 500, then 1000. The other websites are much more reasonable with rates begining at about 30.00 dollars a month.

I know that people can charge whatever they like for advertising on their site. That is fine but there is nothing notably different at nuke cops to suggest that a person should pay such a large amount for relativly the same exposure as on other reputable websites.

I guess that it does pay to shop around. I would hate to think of spending that kind of money for the same thing that would cost a fraction at another store Wink

In short, this is just my rant and rave about the inflated price at that site. No offense is meant to anyone with an affiliation there.

I assume this is something that you're talking with TogetherTeam about.

I really have ZERO control over how they run the site. Though I haven't had time to post in NukeCops in quite a while, I hope this doesn't make me look bad by administrating over there. I've had one extreme reaction to afflliations there, to the point where the guy has spewed just raw, unfounded accusations against me. I think things have calmed down now, but I try not to post too often to avoid intentionally or unintentionally pissing him off.

this has nothing to do with you evaders. I hope that you didnt take it that way. Razz It was just my feelings on the advertising rates there. I was just shocked at what I felt was outrageous there for something equal to what other sites offer. You always offer a lot of support on any site that I see you on here or there or elsewhere.

or advertise on a few smaller sites, the results could even be better..
if you run a site with high traffic it will be the number one reason for its owner to pump up the rates, but the effect drops to zero if your in a bannerpool of 25 others...
