The developer, named Jani Taskinen, has been involved in in the PHP project for six years. In a post to the php-internals mailing list, Jani stated "Thank you all for the last 6 years or so. It has been fun (sometimes) and many times not so much fun. Unfortunately I have had enough and I don't want to be associated with this project anymore." . Jani has been a big contributor to the project, and this news will most likely have an impact throughout the PHP community
