I am having a similar problem, I think. I just finished configuring my new install (went from 2.0.2 to 2.1.1) and logged out as admin.

Then I logged back in, went to Administration ... ...

I got what my provider called a UDP.CGI file. I found RANDOMHTML.CGI had been uploaded into my cgi-bin

That didn't work but I logged in to phpMyAdmin ... changed my password in nuke_authors and MD5'd it so it would be encrypted again. And, that worked.

Ok, they didnt hack the portal, just put 5 files in my main file. But, still, can someone tell me how they did that? Did they hijack my password ...
